Woman Dies From Car Crash Injuries
A 36-year-old woman died on April 2 from injuries received in a crash on March 27. Her death marks the twenty-fifth traffic-related fatality for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in 2020.
According to police, the woman was driving on Windmill Lane near Carob Way in her 2003 Lexus ES around 8 p.m. For reasons unknown to police, her car left the road and struck a brick retaining wall behind a residence. Police said the Lexus then reentered the road and hit a Dodge Charger driving westbound.
Upon impact, pieces of the brick wall were thrown into the road and also hit a Mercedes Benz, police said. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from her car.
She was transported to Sunrise Trauma in critical condition, but died from her injuries on April 2.
