A sizable portion of Las Vegas Boulevard was closed January 20th due to a fiery car crash that took place in front of the South Premium Outlet Mall just after 2:00 a.m. According to police, a BMW traveling southbound hit a guardrail and flipped into the opposing northbound traffic. From there the BMW struck another car head on, which then hit a third vehicle as well. The driver of the MBW, identified by Las Vegas Metro Police as a 42-year-old woman, was unfortunately killed in the accident. The driver of the vehicle that was struck head on by the BMW was identified by police as a 70-year-old man. The man was immediately taken to University Medical Trauma Center. The motorist in the third vehicle involved in the crash was said to have suffered minor injuries. Car accidents are on the rise in the Las Vegas area.
