Las Vegas Pedestrian Hit By Car in Northwest Valley At around 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, a pedestrian was hit and killed at the Buffalo Drive and Washington Avenue intersection in the Northwest Valley, said police. The Las Vegas police and Nevada Highway Patrol attended the scene. Roads in the area were closed and drivers were advised to avoid the intersection. Trooper Travis Smaka said the victim was walking in the travel lane outside of the marked crosswalk when he was struck by a van heading southbound on Buffalo toward Summerlin Parkway. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, said Smaka. His identity will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
