A child was among one of the three people killed in a head-on crash on US 95 near Scotty’s Junction on the afternoon of March 27th.
According to Nevada Highway Patrol, a tan 1998 Ford F-150, driven by an adult male, was traveling northbound when it left its lane and partially entered the southbound travel lane where it struck a silver 2011 Toyota Highlander head-on. The Toyota Highlander then traveled into the dirt shoulder and overturned, ejecting a female adult and two juveniles from the vehicle.
According to officials, the driver of the F-150 was not properly restrained and was transported to University Medical Center (UMC) in serious condition.
Two adults and one juvenile passenger of the Toyota were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
A male juvenile passenger was taken to UMC in critical condition.
Another male juvenile passenger was taken to UMC in stable condition.
Troopers of the Nevada Highway Patrol say that impairment may be a factor in the tragic incident.
