A 78-year-old Las Vegas man passed away in a collision on September 9th in Spring Valley.
Officers were called to a crash at 10:49 a.m. at the intersection of Flamingo and Lindell. The collision involved a 2004 Nissan 350z and a 2005 Toyota Rav4, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Investigators believe that the Nissan driver was heading eastbound with a green light when the driver of the Toyota, the 78-year-old man, attempted to turn left at the light.
The driver of the Toyota was not wearing his seatbelt and he was thrown from his vehicle in the collision.
The two drivers were rushed to University Medical Center, where the 78-year-old unfortunately passed away. The 22-year-old driver of the Nissan suffered only minor injuries in the incident.
