Motorcyclist Dies on US 95 in Fatal Crash
A motorcyclist passed away in a single-vehicle crash on the early morning of November 23rd.
The incident occurred as a black and white 2020 Suzuki GSK-R750 was headed southbound on US 95, on a ramp near Anna Road.
The initial investigation reports the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed and drifted lanes into the left paved shoulder in a locked wheel skid. This caused the front of the Suzuki to run into the concrete barrier wall. The rider of the motorcycle was then thrown into a light pole in the center median.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene due to severe injuries from the crash.
Aarom Lew Barrus, a 30-year-old Las Vegas man, has been identified as the victim.
The fatality indicates the 83rd fatality for Nevada State Police Southern Command in 2021.
