On Monday, a multi-vehicle collision on the interstate south of Boulder City resulted in nine people being transported to the hospital.
Eleven vehicles were involved in the accident near Mile Marker 50 on US 95, next to the solar panel farm, "possibly due to brown-out conditions," according to the Highway Patrol and Nevada State Police.
Boulder City police and firemen were on scene to assist with the situation.
State Troopers stated that southbound traffic on U.S. 95 was closed and being routed through Kingman, Arizona while northbound traffic was redirected to Nipton Road.
Later in the day, the road was reopened.
