Strange ATV Crash Leaves 1 Dead
One person has died as a result of a high-speed collision in the Sunrise Manor region of the valley on Saturday night.
The victim was 57-year-old Michael Myles. According to initial information, the deadly two-car accident occurred near Ripple River Avenue and Desert Edge Street. The report stated that an ATV slammed into a GMC truck that had been parked. Reports state that the ATV was moving at a high rate of speed when it entered an intersection and failed to recognize the right-hand turn as a ‘L’ junction, and ended up colliding with the parked pick-up truck.
Due to the collision, Myles ended up stuck underneath the flatbed of the GMC truck. An ambulance transported him to the University Medical Center in critical condition, but he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. No other information is available at this time.
