One Killed in Fatal Crash with Semi-Truck in Henderson
Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a semi-truck that led to the death of one motorist on the early morning of July 1st in Henderson.
Troopers were called to the scene of the crash on southbound U.S. 95 north around 2:45 a.m., just north of the Horizon Drive exit.
A semi-truck was broken down on the shoulder when a Chevrolet sedan slammed into the back of the truck.
The driver of the Chevrolet was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash and a passenger of the vehicle was transported to Sunrise Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the semi-truck was outside of the vehicle during the crash and did not suffer any injuries.
Southbound U.S. 95 was closed for hours following the crash beginning at Lake Mead Parkway.
