A 15-year-old girl has died after being struck by a car, said Las Vegas Police. Officers responded to reports of a crash on Sunday night around 9:19 p.m. at Charleston Boulevard and Sky Vista Drive in the West Valley.
Two adults and two juveniles were found on the north side of Charleston in a desert area. According to the police, the two juveniles tried to flee to the south side of Charleston when the 15-year-old was hit by an Audi traveling westbound on Charleston.
The girl was transported to UMC Children’s Hospital in critical condition. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the girl later died in the hospital.
The Audi driver stayed at the scene and did not show signs of impairment, police said. The 15-year-old’s death marks the fifty-second fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction in 2020.
