Nevada Highway Patrol reported 36 arrests on suspicion of DUI this New Year’s Eve, ending at 6:00 a.m. New Year’s Day. New Year’s Eve is always a dangerous night to drive, especially if you have had too much to drink and choose to get behind the wheel. This year, NHP was prepared to intercept the inebriated motorists and put them behind bars. Las Vegas Metro reported 26 arrests in the resort corridor- 9 felony offenses; 17 misdemeanors. 11 people were brought to the hospital with minor medical issues. The 36 DUI arrests is an increase from last New Year’s Eve DUI total of 31, according to Metro Police. Car accidents are on the rise in the Las Vegas area.
