65-year-old Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit by School Bus A woman was struck and killed by a Clark County School District bus on the afternoon of November 4th, according to Las Vegas police. The report came in around 3:41 p.m. from the area of Desert Inn Road and Decatur Boulevard. Lieutenant Bret Ficklan of the Las Vegas Metro Police Department reported that the bus was headed south on Warnock Road and turning right onto Desert Inn when it struck a 65-year-old woman who was attempting to cross the street. The front of the bus hit the woman and drove over her. Police reported that “the school bus came to a stop and the driver contacted her dispatch center requesting medical assistance”. The 65-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was identified as Nita Livingston of Las Vegas, reported the Clark County Coroner’s office. The Lieutenant said that neither speed nor impairment were suspected to be factors in the incident. There were three elementary school children on the bus during the accident. Nita Livingston’s death marked the 122th traffic-related fatality for Las Vegas PD in 2021. Livingston’s has been death ruled as an accident.   “Car accidents are on the rise in the Las Vegas area.
