70-Year-Old Hit and Killed While Crossing Street in Las Vegas Nevada
Eastern Avenue was shut down between Owens and Searless Avenues, while police were investigating a pedestrian accident on Friday afternoon. A 70-year-old man was struck while crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk in east Las Vegas.
According to police, the man was crossing Eastern Avenue, south of Owens Avenue, around 3:20 p.m. when a truck hit him.
The man was transported to University Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
The truck driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, said police. Impairment was not suspected.
