Cyclist Dies From Injuries After March Hit-and-Run
A bicycle rider struck by a hit-and-run driver in Las Vegas in March has died as a result of the accident, according to police.
A 67-year-old man was riding his bicycle on the south sidewalk of East Reno Avenue near Jeffreys Street at 9:36 p.m. on March 12 when a westbound pickup truck hopped the sidewalk curb and hit him, then a parked vehicle before fleeing the scene.
The bicyclist was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The Clark County coroner's office informed traffic detectives that the bicyclist died Monday, according to police.
The driver of the vehicle has yet to be identified. Police are searching for a silver or gold Chevrolet or GMC extended-cab pickup.
