Dodge Hit-and-Run Ends in Fatality in Las Vegas Nevada
On Saturday morning, a hit-and-run resulted in the death of a 60-year-old man. The vehicle that hit the pedestrian, drove off Las Vegas Police said.
The crash happened near Las Vegas Boulevard South and Owens Avenue at about 5 a.m. on Jan. 11 reported Media Release.
The driver, who Police are in the current search for was witnessed driving a Dodge Journey or Dodge Durango heading North in the same area as the man crossing Las Vegas Boulevard of South Owens.
The man “entered the path of” the Dodge Police said, and thrown into the driveway of Woodlawn Cemetery due to the impact of the car that hit him. Without stopping on the scene, the Dodge kept on driving North stated Police.
The man died at University Medical Center where he was immediately transferred to.
Clark County Coroner’s Office is releasing his identity once the next of kin have been contacted.
Of traffic-related fatalities in the LVMPD jurisdiction, this has been the third.
The police have urged the driver or anyone with information to contact them.
