Fatal Crash at North Las Vegas Intersection
A T-bone collision on a North Las Vegas street Sunday night resulted in the death of an 18-year-old, according to local police.
The accident was reported around 11:24 p.m. at the T junction of N. 5th Street and San Miguel Avenue and involved two vehicles, Sgt. Jeff Wall said in an email.
North Las Vegas police believe that a silver Honda sedan was heading east on San Miguel Avenue, while a gray jeep SUV was heading north on 5th Street.
The silver Honda, driven by an unlicensed 16-year-old girl, failed to stop at a stop sign at San Miguel and was struck by the Jeep.
The passenger in the front seat of the Honda was taken to UMC, where she was later pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the accident.
No further information on the crash has been provided.
