Hit-and-Run Crash Critically Injures Pedestrian in Las Vegas
A pedestrian was critically injured in Downtown Las Vegas after a hit-and-run crash Monday night.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the crash occurred at the crossroads of Charleston and Las Vegas Boulevards around 10:45 p.m. The roads were then closed for investigation.
A dark-colored Kia with three occupants was traveling west on Charleston when it exited the roadway onto the sidewalk and struck a light pole. The Kia re-entered the roadway and hit a pedestrian as they were crossing the crosswalk at Charleston and Las Vegas Boulevard.
The Kia fled the scene and pulled into 333 E. Charleston, said police. The male driver and male passengers ran from the vehicle and are still outstanding as of Tuesday morning.
The pedestrian was transported to the hospital and is in critical condition, according to police.
