Impairment Driver Injured Two People in West Las Vegas Crash
Two people were injured early Thursday morning due to a single-vehicle rollover likely caused by impairment and excessive speeding.
A message from Metro Lt. David Gordon said the driver of a Mini Cooper lost control of their vehicle at the intersection of West Tompkins Avenue in the central valley of Las Vegas, just north of Tropicana Boulevard. Gordon said a high rate of speed may be the cause of the crash.
The Mini Cooper rolled onto its roof. Both the driver and a passenger were transported to a hospital with unknown conditions.
It’s likely that impairment was a factor, Gordon said.
Arville Street was closed in both directions early on Thursday between Tompkins Avenue and Tropicana Boulevard.
