Las Vegas Skateboarder Struck and Killed
A 7-year-old boy was killed after he was hit by a car while riding his skateboard in Las Vegas on Thursday night.
The crash happened around 6:07 p.m. on Alexis Drive near Lindell Rd and Harmon Ave.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the boy was riding his skateboard on a hill, ending up in the road where he was hit by a Nissan Maxima.
The driver was unimpaired and stayed on scene. The boy was taken to University Medical Center (UMC) where he was later pronounced dead. The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Leo Leal.
