Man Killed After Being Struck by Hit-and-Run Vehicle
A 68-year-old man was killed on the evening of April 1st after being hit by a hit-and-run vehicle while crossing the street at a marked crosswalk.
The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Rancho Drive.
According to police, a dark-colored sedan fled the scene of the incident after hitting the man who was crossing the street. The pedestrian was then hit by another vehicle before being taken to University Medical Center, where he unfortunately passed away.
The second vehicle remained at the scene of the crash and did not show any sign of impairment. However, the first vehicle has yet to be located, according to police.
The name of the man killed was not released by police, pending notification of family.
