A memorial was held at the corner of Dona and Washburn to commemorate Sarah Crosby, a woman in her 50’s who was struck by a car while riding her bike on the morning of September 30th. Police responded to the scene of the crash at 7:00 a.m. Crosby, 50, was rushed to the hospital where she unfortunately passed away. The incident occurred as Crosby was riding her bike to school, where she worked as a teacher. The intersection where she was struck by the vehicle is known to be dangerous by the local community.
