One Dead After Jeep Catches Fire in Henderson
One man is dead after his vehicle was struck from behind while stopped at a red light in Henderson.
According to Henderson Police, the crash happened around 4:00 a.m. on March 7 at St. Rose Pkwy and Eastern Ave.
A red 2005 Jeep was stopped at a red light when it was rear-ended by a white Lexus. The force of the impact caused the Jeep's fuel tank to catch fire, and both cars quickly became engulfed in flames.
The driver of the Jeep was taken to Sunrise Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police believe that speeding was a factor in the crash, but that impairment was not. The driver of the Lexus is currently facing pending charges.
