One Killed in Fatal Southeast Valley Collision
One person was killed in a crash in the southeast valley on the afternoon of November 24th.
Police responded to a crash at around 2:15 p.m. near Russell Road and Stephanie Street. A white Ford Escape and a white Chevrolet Silverado were both involved in the incident.
According to Lieutenant Bret Ficklin from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, the crash
involved a 29-year-old woman in the Silverado and a 52-year-old woman in the Escape. The
Escape was in the process of passing when the speeding Silverado went left of the center median and stuck the Escape.
The driver of the Escape was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Silverado was taken to Sunrise Hospital.
Neither identity has been released to the public at this time.
