Pedestrian Hit by Car and Critically Injured in the Northeast Valley
A pedestrian was hit by a car and critically injured on the evening of April 4th after being struck by a car while attempting to cross the street in the northwest valley.
The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. on Owens Avenue at North 23rd street. According to police, the pedestrian was crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk when she was hit.
The female pedestrian was rushed to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Her identification has not yet been released to the public.
The driver remained at the scene of the incident and did not show any signs of impairment. No one in the vehicle was injured in the incident.
The incident remains under investigation.
