According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, impairment is suspected in an incident in which a woman was killed and a child was injured in a single-vehicle collision in Las Vegas early Wednesday Morning. According to LVMPD, the crash happened just after 2 am near the intersection of East Charleston Boulevard and North Pecos Road. Reports say that a Cadillac sedan was traveling southbound on Pecos Road when it veered off the road, jumping a curb and smashing into a traffic pole in the intersection. The driver and her 4-year-old child were both transported to UMC, where the driver was later pronounced dead.
