Two-Car Crash Injures Two People in Las Vegas Nevada
A two-vehicle crash on Monday morning is still under investigation, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. Two people were injured, one critically, due to the accident.
Lt. David Gordon of the LVMPD said the crash occurred around 5 a.m. on Pecos Road south of Russell Road.
A 2008 Jeep Patriot was traveling northbound on Pecos north of Quail Avenue when a 1999 Ford Taurus was leaving a private drive westbound onto Pecos.
According to LVMPD, the Ford neglected to yield the right of way and the front of the Jeep hit the driver’s side of the Ford. The 28-year-old driver of the Ford was transported to Sunrise Hospital in critical condition. The passenger in the Ford was also transported to Sunrise with moderate injuries.
The Jeep’s driver stayed at the scene and did not show signs of impairment. The LVMPD said the driver of the Ford was suspected of impairment and had been booked in absentia.
Pecos was closed in both directions on Monday morning.
